hi!

let's be friends and talk about our favorite shows, designer collections, and coffee shops

As graduation nears, I've been reflecting on which memories I'll cherish the most. I think spending hours getting ready for dances with friends will always be special to me. It's one of the best things-- playing favorite songs, asking if your eyeliner is even, nervous in anticipation.

For the most part I've favored simple, black dresses for prom (you can see Prom 2016 and Prom 2015). I was planning on switching it up for senior year, but I ended up falling for a dress in that category. I found this Lauren Ralph Lauren beauty at Nordstrom when I was in LA. The white sequin top makes it more special than the typical black dress and allows for a sophisticated look. I wore my favorite pair of Steve Madden heels-- they have a low, chunky heel that's comfortable and give off a vintage vibe.

Since my hair is so short now, the options are limited. I just curled it and made my makeup a bit more dramatic. I did a darker, coppery eye with black winged liner and my favorite Urban Decay lipstick.

I took pictures with some of my best friends-- Ana and Georgia-- and their dates. Jenna was kind enough to take our pictures, and they turned out wonderfully! I will cherish the happiness in these photos for a long time.

For this post, I've also partnered with The Black Tux, an excellent service for prom suit and tuxedo rentals! It's similar to Rent the Runway and definitely worth checking out. They created a fun graphic about the evolution of prom trends through the years that you can see below.
